AR15Basics was born out of my knowledge base of building the basic AR15 for the past 10 + years or so.

Everyone has a story so here's part of mine. Born and raised in the Midwest living in Indiana my whole life. My father was an Indiana State Conservation Officer for over 32 years. I was raised by fair handed parents, with a belief in God as the creator and an appreciation for the outdoors and life. I was trapping, hunting and fishing long before many of my peers. I have always had a desire to know how things work, some say “mechanically minded”. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. I've been blessed to work with many great people throughout my engineering career. With my oldest brother having also a career in law enforcement, I was always the guy to fix and repair firearms for them. I lost track years ago, the total number of AR’s I have worked on / built or repaired. Now that I'm in the twilight of my engineering career, I am looking forward to using my knowledge base to help others enjoy the AR15 platform.
